Society of Greyhound Veterinarians

SGV - promoting the veterinary care and welfare of the greyhound before, during and after its racing career.

WELCOME TO THE SOCIETY OF GREYHOUND VETERINARIANS

We are a non-territorial branch of the British Veterinary Association specialising in Greyhounds.

Within the members' section, there is a large amount of educational material, cuttings, documents and a wide array of matters relating to the Greyhound and its welfare.

The main website is available only to members of SGV. If you wish to join, you can see whether you are eligible by viewing the membership eligibility from the menu above and then downloading an application form. If you have any questions, please contact SGV Office from the menu above.

If you have any problems with the site, Mike Harvey, the webmaster of the site can be contacted directly using this link.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF SGV

To promote the knowledge of all matters relating to the racing greyhound and its welfare.

To promote the training and status of the veterinary profession within the greyhound industry and assist in negotiations with track managements and other bodies.

To provide informed and expert veterinary input into discussions with the NGRC, BGRB, IGF and all other public, professional, political and industry bodies.
